Stic-It® on Alabama’s Morning News: Why Americans Are Flying the Flag Again
Lindsay Porzio, Marketing Director at Stic-It®, joined JT on Alabama’s Morning News on WERC to talk about something a lot of people are noticing right now. Flags are back. On homes, on trucks, on the drive to work. And not just on holidays.
The Flag Belongs to All of Us
JT opened by talking about the American flag he flies in front of his house every single day, not just on Flag Day or Veterans Day. Lindsay agreed that’s exactly the point.
“We can’t surrender the symbols of America to politics,” she told JT. Her take is simple. Even when the country feels divided, the flag is a reminder that we’re still one country.
The America 250 celebration this summer showed how many people feel that way. The goal now is to keep that spirit going all year.
What Stic-It® Actually Is
JT asked Lindsay to explain the product, and she broke it down. Stic-It® is a durable hard plastic rotating car flag that clips right onto your window. No tools, no residue.
Because it’s a rigid panel and not fabric, your message stays upright and readable while you drive. It rotates with the movement of the car instead of flapping, drooping, or tearing apart on the highway.
JT liked that part. He pointed out that anyone who’s driven to a big game knows how fast a traditional car flag gets shredded or flies off.
Patriotism Is Showing Up Everywhere
Lindsay said Stic-It® is seeing strong demand for American flags, along with Back the Blue, support our troops, and other designs that celebrate what’s great about the country.
And it’s not just coming from the places you’d expect. Orders are coming in from California, New York, and Minnesota too.
“There are millions and millions of Americans that are being patriotic,” Lindsay said. People who care about their country, want to serve their communities, and want to show it.
Young Americans Are Part of It
JT asked whether Gen Z is really drifting away from American identity, like we often hear. Lindsay sees something different. Younger people are looking around, seeing what’s at stake, and realizing that we can come from different backgrounds and still share one country worth protecting.
Small Things Add Up
Asked whether this is a political statement or something bigger, Lindsay was clear. Patriotism has to rise above red versus blue.
“It might be a small thing to see a flag in front of someone’s house as you drive by,” she said, “but those little images create a bigger picture of what patriotism and what America is.”
Make It Your Own
Stic-It® also has a custom upload tool on getsticit.com. Upload your own image (anything that isn’t copyrighted) and it’s turned into a decal for the rotating flag mount.
And for the record, Lindsay closed the interview with a “Go Georgia” ahead of the big game in Tuscaloosa. JT did not approve. Her stepfather is a big Georgia fan, so she gets a pass.
